Hi, I have recently purchased SiteSpinner and have managed to create 2 web sites and they are published. Iwould like to have an automated slide show but I don't seem to be able to get it working. I think I need a blow by blow decription of how to set it up. Can anyone help?

Obviously you have seen Bruceees website so if you want some other ideas you can check outthis site and come back if you have more questions. There are of course many other similiar sites on the net.

Thanks Klimt, but I have tried the ones on Dynamicdrive but I can't get any of them working. They don't seem to be locating the pictures for the slide show.

I think they do, I have used a couple from those, it took a while to figure out all the details (of course with Bruceee's help Smile). So what you have to do is decide what kind of slideshow you would like to have and then it will be easier to come up with suggestions.

I have about 12 pictures to put on the web site and I want to have them fade in one by one. Brucee's Automated in page slide show would be perfect but I cant figure out where to put which codes in which files.

I think that if that's what you would like to have you'll get all the help you need here. With the help of Bruceee I have build one Photo Gallery here with 20 pics. Check if it's something similar you have in mind.

Klimt's gallery link should be this one -- the original had an extra "http" in it.

Slide shows can be tricky -- and for the one I prefer -- images directly in i-frames, there are a number of steps you have to take. I should clarify the exact steps needed to do the code for those.

Slideshows, such as the Dynamic Drive ones, often expect images to be in the root directory of your site. You can preview such slide shows by putting the images in your preview folder -- for the location of that, use Options > Preview Options...

You probably want a transition effect. See here -- these work only with Internet Explorer.

I have inserted the transition effect Fade from your web site into the header of the page with the slides and checked that the project is set to ANSI but the fade works on the page but not on the Slides... am I doing something wrong?

I've used another code from Bruceee on Maximilian's photo gallery you can try it and maybe change the duration time
<meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="blendTrans(Duration=2.0)">

I have noticed several times that not everything worked in the preview but it was no problems when published. I don't know if this is the case but maybe Bruceee can help you there.

As Klimt suggests, try publishing the page. If it still doesn't work, then you can post a link here Smile

I have published a page with the slide show on two sites there is a wipe down page transition on both but the fade code in the header has made the page in transition fade not the slide show www.alghazal-transport.com/wshop.html
