When testing animation of the Web Engine 2 I found serious bugs.

Is there any plan to continue development?

Especially, there is problems with the "Transforms" and "Timings" in the action editor...

hejral,

Yes, we are in the process of developing Web Engine now.

Scaling and shading in general work in SVG so we need to know what has happened in your case. For example, you have selected '0' scaling in your screen shot, so you would expect to see no scaling. Also, these transformations are not all implemented for 'Text' objects - use 'Title' objects instead.

For any problems it helps if you could describe what you did, what you see, and what you expected to see. Or send us an actual project with a description of what you see vs what you expect to see.

Hello,
there was too many problems to describe all.

I try today again to realize some simply example:

1. create small circle and greater ellipse
2. make small blue circle moving around the great ellipse
3. result: generated SVG work, but timing was bad
4. next I add some scale
5. result: scaling work, but motion is broken
6. additionally: scaling I set was 1 ... but circle is scaled cca 500% !!??? I think there is some problem...

see attachments please

I will send to you source .IMS and .SVG files, but
I do not know where...??

Your attachment links aren't working, can you check them and post them again.

Shame that you're experiencing some probs with WebEngine, I use animation a lot on it and (fingers crossed) have had no problems. There is a lot of 'fishing around' to be done on WebEngine and sometimes there is the tiniest box to be un-checked to make things work.

Post your links again.

hejral,

We got the examples you sent us. There may well be bugs remaining in this (beta) version, but I think what you are seeing is what we would expect to see. It may be the result of some confusion about the terminology since it is not yet completely documented. We hope to improve much of the user interface along with the documentation
before we are finished.

Below is an explanation of what you are seeing in the example you sent us:

> in final SVG output works scaling, but not motion.
> At the same time in editor ... "Properties/Action" still
> show motion animation applied on blue object.

The motion is not working in this example because the 'Speed' for the object
path has been set to 0 (i.e. no travel).

Regarding the scaling timing. Be sure that you choose the correct way of
timing for the result you want. You have chosen to scale by 1.0 'per second'
and have a duration 7. So you would expect the size to increase by 1 each
second for 7 seconds. That is what seems to be happening.

If you had chosen to scale by 1.0 'per path' (and had a value other than 0
for speed) the scaling should increase by 1x on each pass around the
ellipse.

> Also I think, it will be much better to express scaling in range 0..1..10.
> negative value is confusing

Yes, that may be preferable.
