Hello,
I was wondering if you did the neato thumbnail to display effects on: http://chessea.com/winter_camp.html with SiteSpinner, and if so, how? I'd like to try to set up some pages that way!

Thanks,
Mark

Ps: Love the photographs...

Hi Chesie,

Looks like it could be a file naming issue. Please look at this post about naming images - it applies to all file types, including your pages: http://virtualmechanics.infopop.cc/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=3636038591&f=3796083534&m=4916033934

Always like to hear about a satisfied user!

Mark, I resized my original photos in PS CS for the thumbnails, then used SiteSpinner for the mouseovers. For some of the thumbnails, I cropped around the most important part, so it can be seen more easily.

Too many photos sites have too small thumbnails and it is a guessing game on what the photos are you might want to see. These thumbnails could have been a bit smaller.

The link is showing up, but is not working as the example on page: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm

I need a simple way to provide sub links to cut down on the clutter.

I am deliously happy with SiteSpinner!

Hello Chessie,
Thanks for the information. I have found out everything I need to do that mouse over effect. It's working well except for one small but irritation. The image behind the one being displayed is showing through around the edges- on a black background. With some fiddling I seemed to be able to fix it but it's not fun and has become a problem with more images. Is there a setting or something that will prevent this from happening?

Thanks,
Mark_S

On top, I use the Special FX>Loading>Hide while Loading.

This keeps all photos hidden until use. Does this help?

Smile I tried another style of links & it is working.

One question: There are webpages with color codes (numbers/letters). Is there a website with names for .js ? Like lightblue, darkgreen etc.?

Hello Chessie,

I think this is a bug of some sort with the program. I have noticed that the objects do not always line up properly within the geomerty. I put borders around the thumbnails and when they were published, the border would be missing on one edge or another. This is a similar scenario. Once published there seems to be a space between the object and the geomety tghat allows the image underneath to show through. Has anyone seem this behaviour before?
It might be software or maybe hardware related. I'm on Win2k Pro, Nvidia 4200Ti.

Thanks,
Mark

This is a better program & menu. The fancy style on Entertainment is catchy. I switched to this one and had no problems... so far.

Hi chessie,

Glad to hear you sorted out the link problem. I am not exactly sure what you mean by colors for .js files. If you mean converting color names to HEX numbers, try this: http://www.1stsitefree.com/rgb_hex.htm

Mark-S,

We have not had any reports of a bug like that. Do you have a URL we can look at?

Thanx Derry. Yes, that is what I was trying to say. I am now trying to substitute hex numbers for the color words too. This link is exactly what I was looking for. Smile
