Hi Smile
I'm trying to insert in my page a simple effect and i can't.Not sure why.
Let's say i have two objects("png1" and "png2") and a text("txt"). I want the "txt" to be visible when page loads but to be replaced by another text ("txt1") while i point the mouse over "png1" or to be replaced by "txt2" while i point "png2".When the mouse leaves - back to "txt".
Does anybody has a hint or something?
Please help Smile Thanks!

Special FX: Mouse Effects should do what you want. I use this extensively on my site.

Thanks j razz,
Maybe i mess something because it doesn't work the way i want.I also use Special FX in most cases but this time isn't enough. I've seen your page;your text that appears on mouseover is pretty cool but i'm trying to do something different. Is there a way to allready have a text that it's replaced by another with a mouseover effect? For that i think i have to use 3 objects : the trigger, the default text and the new one. It's important for my project to have allready a text because otherwise my page will not have any content untill the user will point the mouse on the trigger. If i take your page as an example, i want to display a text even if i don't point the mouse on the links.
The reason i've posted this topic here is because i feel it has something to do with behaviour and action, meaning WebEngine.
Thanks again,
misumisu

I understand now. This can be done easily in Fireworks, and I would think a script would make this possible. I am in the middle of a project at work at the moment, but I may have some time to either work on something or find something for you- no promises, but I will see what I can do. If Fireworks can do it, I am sure there is a script that can utilized for this purpose.

Derry do you know of a way to work around the A/B variable limit here concerning specialfx? Can you throw into the equation a variable C?

A mouseover effect should be able to replace one text object with another. Even better is to just make the top object invisible, revealing the object underneath.

The default is for text objects to have a "no color" background, which makes them effectively transparent. So two text objects on top of each other will look a mess because you will see both lots of text. To avoid this problem, give the top object a solid background color, like white -- then the text underneath will not show through. The setting is in the Quick Editor > Shading tab.
