Hi Derry,

Note the file name:

http://members.shaw.ca/muzzrpore/animatha.html

I went searching for the animation tutorial, but you know that story. So....I just created an object, shaded it, and plunged into the Action Editor and ticked and shifted everything in sight....and of course nothing is happening...yet.

G for guts.

Cheers,

Muzz

Hi Derry,

Well, I guess you saw the static animation just become dynamic. And YES I am going to say it: they are rotating and changing shading: And that you can only do in SVG.

Thought for the day: best he who rants and raves in the night balance his output before dawn.

Cheers

Hi Muzz,

Didn't mean to sidetrack you from your study of Perspective. But I am always keen to see what you can do with the under-used SVG interactive animation features of Web Engine V2.

Hi Derry.

You haven't chased me off of perspective at all, and here in vintage bluntly irrevent fashion is why. If you are serious about about graphic desgn, then you better be serious about three basic subjects: shape, colour, and perspective whether it be linear, oblique, or isometric or whatever. An obvious corollary follows. ...and note that I am referring to graphics design, not just web-site building.

Note well this citation:

" M.C. Escher Belevedere. 1958 Lithograph
From his early youth, Escher practiced the graphic technique of perspective and for many years strived to master that skill. ...[He] become fascinated with subverting our commonsense view of the three dimensional world. In this print, Escher knew that it was impossible to see the front and back of a building simultaneously, yet he managed to draw such an impossible building."

I have been fascinated by that picture for years.

My earlier Web-site work gave the first indications of my niche. Text and colour. Knox further enhanced my convictions about the colour factor in spades, but added SVG and the possibiliy of depth and the three dimensional.

I have discussed the issue of "The Language Debacle" with Christopher Rollason since my last post to you, and he supports me all the way. What a guy.

So animated three-dimensional symbolism is the target, Derry. ....And you know what I am hoping lies at the end of the trail.

Cheers,

Muzz
