We have a beta of SiteSpinner that we would like to get some feedback on. If you are a registered SiteSpinner user and are interested in giving it a try, drop us a not to our Registetered User Contact Form (be sure to include your SiteSpinner Serial Number (available in SiteSpinner under Help > About) and we'll forward off the download instructions.

Derry: How is the beta different than the version I recently bought (December or so)?

The visual appearance is much more like SiteSpinner Pro, and it has picked up some of the new features that first appeared in SS Pro, such as improved CSS generation and support for multiple browsers in preview. Oh, and better support for adding code to your projects.

There are probably other things too, but that's all I can think of just now Smile

Most significant would be that the project file format is not backward compatible. If you decide to test the beta, do not save a working version of your site as you will not be able to open it again in the standard SS.

In most cases, you should be able to work around this restriction:

In SS 2.91, to save your project in the SS V2.70f format, use File > Save As. Then, after you set the file name, hold down Ctrl+Shift as you click the final "Save". You will then get an advisory message about being in diagnostic mode which you can accept. You should then be able to open your freshly saved project in SS 2.70f.

If you plan to use this workaround seriously, I suggest try it out on your actual project before you commit to the new version.

Hi Larry,

Updates to SiteSpinner and SiteSpinner Pro are ready to go, we're just waiting on some documentation in order to package them up and post them. It shouldn't be much longer.

By any chance, is the documentation being done in stone with a chisel?

We have been waiting on a shipment of gold tablets to inscribe them in. The silver chisel has now arrived also, so it shouldn't be much longer. Smile

Sounds good to me. I am sure we can find some way to send them electronically, and no problem with them being in ancient Greet Razz
