I have a few problems with v2.7. Don't know if this is the right place to put them but...The new version 2.7 is great. I do have some problems though. When resizing a "title" the title window chrashes every time.
It is very anoying when the popup window keeps coming back with tips even when I have checked "don't show again".
Two questions may not relate to the update:
1. Why can't I get the blue guideline on top of my project? On another project I'm doing the guideline always stays on top, no matter what I put on the page?
2. When I am about to upload a single page it often shows the title of another page, and only if I choose "export all pages" it seems to recognise the actual page.
3. When I put a flash code it is very time consuming to find the right place for the object since I have to upload every time to see where the object is placed. Is there some kind of rule about placing flash code or other code files precisely?
Thx in advance.
Great software!
Michael

Re: the title crash. What is your file rendering format? Gif or png8 will crash if you scale to certain values. Temporary workaround -- use png format instead. (Fixed in the new release.)

Re the tips popup window -- I have seen this too. Is there one that seems especially bad to you? -- it may be worth further investigation. (Note for others: This is not the tip-of-the-day popup which shows when you start up -- that disables or enables easily.)

Re 1. (blue guideline). Try clicking the Guide Border icon on the top toolbar.

Re 2. (incorrect title). Known bug -- fixed in the new release.

Re 3. (Flash). A foreign object allows precise positioning and sizing on your page. For code objects, leave CSS positioning on. Code with a visible representation on your page (eg a fixed image) should appear where you position the code object. If not, you should at least be able to get it to show in preview, without uploading. (Exception: scripts that run on your server.)

You might want to download and install the latest release - see the info on that here.

I have updated the latest release.
I use pgn for rendering, but it seems as if the new update have fixed this problem.
About the tip popup. It also seem to have disappeared. My first installation could have been defective or what?
What really was annoying was whenever I wanted to edit text or wanted to chage size of title these two things happened.

About the blue guideline. What I mean is that I would like the blue guideline to stay in front of everything. It would be nice with the green guidelines too. If I have a grey rectangle the guideline is hidden behind it. Objects in the rectangle would be easier to place if all guidelines were in front of everything. I can't get them there! Frown
On my personal website project the guidelines appear OK. The way my to projects are build is the same. That is why I'm a little confused about it...I can see that it is possible.
Sitespinner is great my english isn't!
Thanks
Michael

Glad the new version has made some improvements.

I think that when you disable a popup tip, SS writes a value to the Windows registry -- so SS knows not to display that tip again. My guess is that you had something interfering with that process.

I'm puzzled by your blue guideline -- this is the one that marks the boundaries of your finished pages and the center line (in pale blue)? I have never seen it on top. I've just tested all the gridlines (tab stops and snap grid as well) and for me, they all remain at the back, behind any objects.

Transparent objects like a default rectangle can let grid lines show through -- could that have been what you are seeing? If not, you may have found a secret passageway in SiteSpinner that will be worth investigating further Smile

Yes, your right Bruceee - no secret passageway Frown I used a grey color for both sites, but on my own site the grey is made from a transparent white. That is why the blue guideline is on top. Stupid me. Still it would be great if it was possible to get the guidelines in front of the layers.
By the way these background layers seem to slow down the scrolling in the work window when I'm working on the page with a large rectangle.
