Wow, very impressive! I browsed quickly through most of the pages and didn't see any obvious typos.

One thing I did notice though -- all the screen shots are very fuzzy. As they are gif format, I would expect them to be much sharper.

This may be an artifact of the conversion process you used to get them on-line. Are you planning to keep an on-line version like this as well as the PDF version?

That small reservation aside, great job! Big Grin

And not before time Wink. Looks ok from what I have seen so far but I would agree that the screen shots are not of very good quality.

However, I do think that a flash tutorial would be a good idea for the basic points for Newbies.

We'll look into the 'fuzzy screen shots' issue.

Yes, once the final draft is done we'll keep a link to it from our site, and include a link to the printable version for registered users.

Very Good - Very Clear - great Instructions.

Silly question - Is it just for SS and not Webengine?

Yes, just SiteSpinner at the moment. Though many of the functions in Web Engine are the same, there are quite a few more in Engine that are not covered in the document.

Your online help is greatly appreciated. I was in the process of cutting and pasting from the SSV2 Help files to produce an organized reference guide. This is a FAR better answer! Congratulations on a job well done.

For those who may be interested, SSV2's SVG seems to work fine with Mozilla Firefox 1.5 beta.

I spoke prematurely...SVG does not work correctly in the latest Firefox 1.5 build for Windows.

I have to agree that the online help is very nice! I also was able to get the .pdf version too!

Now if someone would write a book on this maybe in the fashion of the "Dummies" books?

The last statement was just a thought.

That would be awesome! Or if he would allow me to pick his brain, I would write it. That man does know how to run this program there is no doubt about it! Smile

I found some typos in the page "Rendering and Re-Rendering". I'm taking the liberty of suggesting some other improvements at the same time Smile

Lines are in pairs, first the current line(s), then the suggested new line(s):

Render and re-render are used somewhat interchangeable here
Render and re-render are used somewhat interchangeably here

But in both cases we can say the object is re-rendered as a new image.
But in both cases we can say the object is re-rendered as a new image. Whenever you re-render an object, you create an image file for that object when you publish your project. This file will then be a required part of your uploaded site.

In the case of the rectangle, it must be re-rendered because an HTML page does not understand the concept of a rectangle.
Simple rectangles with flat shading can be rendered by the finished HTML code, and don't produce an image file. Rectangles with complex shading, say a gradient fill, will be rendered as an image file.

... to PNG 8, JPEG, GIF, or BMP format ...
... to PNG 8, JPG, GIF, or BMP format ...
Reason: it appears as 'JPG' in the SS file rendering format settings

To change the re-rendering format for an individual object, use the Object Editor
To change the re-rendering format for an individual object, use the Geometry Editor

... the group will be rendered (in HTML) as a single image composed ...
... the group will be rendered as a single image composed ...

The words TOPMOST BOTTOMMOST and BELOWBODY do not appear in the Index -- should they be there?

They do show up in a Search.
