Well done, Brilliant!!

Looking forward to trying out all the new things on SS and WebEngine. I'm sure there will be teething problems but as with everything else we will all help each other and soon get the hang of the updated versions.

I have tried to download V2.7 several times and each time I get a file of only 137 KB.
Even after re-starting the computer and trying again I had the same result.

The 137kb file is the installer. Just run it and it will download the main file.

How do you back up the software? I mean, it would be nice to have a copy of your Site Spinner on CD.

I downloaded the 137kb installer and right before the installation ends, I always get this error.

The Cabinet file '_C9C9284F8DA1365303255F5E509314A' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

I then have two options. I can either "Try Again" or "Cancel". I have re-downloaded the file quite a few times and I'm just not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated!

A 'cabinet' file is usually on your system hard-drive and would have to be fixed, it definitely looks like a corrupt file on your databases. Sometimes if you go into your system network and look at your programs in system view, you can sometimes see the corrupt file (it is standing out from the rest) and fix/uninstall/install from there. I could do that on windows ME, haven't actually had that problem on Windows XP (yet).

Has anything on your computer gone wonky recently? It is usuually a recent interference that causes problems.

How do I go into my system network and look at my programs in system view? Also, I was able to install v2.5f just fine. But I would rather have the latest version. Would it be possible for me to install v2.7 on a different computer on my network and then copy the Virtual Mechanics folder of v2.7 onto my computer that I'm having this issue with? Would overwriting 2.5 with 2.7 solve this problem or does the new version install new entries into my system registry. Thanks for the quick response!

Download problem for Polish user

You don't have permission to access /download/install/sitespinnerv2/270/SetupSiteSpinnerV270.Exe on this server.

Jadon,

Could just be a corrupt file. If you are a registered user, go to Help > Check for updates..., and download and install the file from there.
