well, I myself made a mistake few years ago. I registered on this forum and asked one or two questions, but still, decided to go with another program. Not that the other program was bad, it had much much less features than SS, no forum and the development has stopped a long time ago.
What the other program does to fool others is it has a simple demonstration how it works, right on the website. that's how they fool people. But to have a live demonstration right on the website is a good idea. I guess it takes a lot of bandwidth. |

The boss decided to do the flogging for me. Couldn't get a webcam out to the VMI parking lot, but we were able to snap a pic. Here you can see the boss taking a break from flogging me for my transgressions, with Goldie, Harpo, and little baby Spinner looking on...
AndyP, I guess the moral of the story for you is to 'never let friends spin without spinner' This message has been edited. Last edited by: Derry, - Derry |

I am having a problem viewing a JavaScript drop-down menu that I had imported (as code) in version 2.5f. When I try to preview in version 2.7, the menu is no longer there. Just wondering if maybe the new updated version is looking for the code in a different place. I even tried to recreate a new menu and it still won't show up when I preview/publish it. I think I'm going back to 2.5f for now since this is a feature I need. Any help would be appreciated though. Great program though - can't figure out why anyone would use anything else.

I'm not aware of any change that would alter the way that Javascript code would work.
Often Javascript hangs out in an separate "include file". When you preview now, the path to that file will be different to what you had with the old SS version -- and the code won't work because it can't find the file. I'd look closely into that to see what the menu requirements are. I that doesn't help, can you post a link to a page that has a working menu on it? |

Dear Srs. I'm a new user and have downloaded and installed SS 2.7. I have found a bug: When you select an object and clic "delete" to remove it from all the pages, SS only removes it from the active page and not from the other, like version 2.5 did

Xlion,
Delete removes only "includes" from multiple pages. If you delete a clone or a copy, SS removes only one instance. I've just done a simple test by deleting (with the delete key) an include from a three-page project. The item concerned (image or text) seems to delete reliably for me. If you think there is still a bug there, can you give some more details -- what kind of object are you deleting and how? |

Not at all.
The earlier version had some bugs that are removed in the latest version. And the later version has some neat new features that you may like. But if your current version does what you want, stick with it |

Dear Brucee, thanks for your answer, I don't know what was happening, because I tried again what I did before and now SS works perfectly deleting the object from all the pages. Now I'm having problems when I generate the HTML. See down, I'm working for example with the Biz_template4, and I modify the object "Rectangle:lin26" only shortening it a little bit (see Screen1) and when I generate the HTML using >> , the resultant object is wider than it would be (see screen 2)(click on the thumbs to view the big images). I didn't have this problem with the version 2.50 f Upload Images with PicTiger This message has been edited. Last edited by: Xlion, |

Sometimes these things work in mysterious ways. Perhaps the object you thought was an include wasn't really.
For your positioning problem, make sure you don't have relative sizing and positioning on for any of the objects. Buttons on the bottom toolbar. If you see your objects moving relative to their background as you resize your browser window, that points to a problem like that. |

"If you spin without Spinner,
in a whim you won't be a winner, but if you spin your site with spinner it will always be a winner" Ask an Australian why you should use the words flog yourself in a carpark carefully, different terms have different meanings in different countries.
