As this seems urgent, why not just download a copy from the VM website? -- about a 6Mb download. You'll get the latest version too

Ok...I guess I could get my teacher to do that so I can show him my site...however, if he does download it...could I transfer a file from my program to his by...disc? or floppy? or CD?
Thank you sooo much for you're response...you're saving my butt here! Sincerely, RoboticsNerd |

If you have published your project, you could just point him at the URL of your site.
If you haven't, you could publish to disk, and then copy all the files to a CD, memory stick, or floppy. You can test your publish before the big demo (good idea!) by double clicking the file 'index.html'. For a successful copy, everything should work just like it does in preview. You could also copy your .ims project file and source images as you are thinking, but the project would require some tinkering to get it working on the new computer (plus of course you would need to install SiteSpinner). |

No, you don't need your own domain, but you will need to sign up with a host. Then when you publish, you send your finished pages to a special place on your host.
Once your pages are there, your visitors can view them with their browser -- if they know the URL (web site address). There is a lot more about publishing under Help > Tutorials. |

You are probably not publishing to the correct place on your site now. I suggest follow the tutorial 'Publishing your Project' under Help > Tutorials.
The trick is to browse to the folder on your site where your existing HTML files are. |

Is this happening during install, or when you try to run SiteSpinner after install?
Also can you quote the full text of the error message? |

After clicking on install I get the error message, then it tells me to install again, but I can repeat that and get the same thing again.

The full text of the errror message is "A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\Douments & settings\Temp InternetFiles\Content\IE5\E30FUXKL\SiteSpinnerV2.70c.msi"

Hmmmm.... SiteSpinnerV2.70c.msi is the actual install file so the installer is saying it can't read something from that file. Also it says "network error" -- are you trying to install over any kind of network?
I'm fairly sure the file is digitally signed, so if there was any corruption of the file, I would expect a different error message. So for now, I will assume no corruption. I would try the install from a another disk drive (or partition) if you have one available. If not, try somewhere else on your current disk, like your desktop. Locate the .msi file, copy it to the new location and try the install from there. Derry or Harpo -- any better ideas? |

That location is in the IE cache. The file might have been damaged during download. I would try clearing your IE cache (called temporary internet files in IE) and/or downloading SiteSpinner from an alternate location (download.com, tucows.com).
