Updates have been posted for SiteSpinner V2.7 and Web Engine V2 (beta):

SiteSpinner V2.7 'b' and Web Engine V2 'j' (beta) are now live. If you have installed SiteSpinner V2.7 or Web Engine V2 'h' (beta) then on the product menu go to Help > Check for Updates, and simply download and install the latest release.

If you have a previous version, then you first need to uninstall that version before installing the latest release - please see the information here.

These updates include the following changes, fixes, and additions:

FIXED: certain sizes of GIF or PNG8 images with 16 colors or less can cause crash during preview or publish

FIXED: Text Editor shows grey box instead of text editing space on some users systems

FIXED: if last line in a Title has only a linefeed causes Title to be 30x30 pixels

FIXED: if lines in a Title (other than last line) has only a linefeed , the line height is not added to the title, so line with text below may be cut off

FIXED: Selected Form name may appear as blank in form editor list

FIXED: adding 'New Form' to Form Item in Form Editor leaves 'Type' temporarily blank

FIXED: Form items did not respect No CSS Positioning flag

FIXED: Forms items inside tables are positioned outside table borders

FIXED: Potential text editor freeze if text created with font that no longer exists is opened.

FIXED: using Page Editor's Arrange button to delete currently selected page can cause a crash.

CHANGED: 'method' and 'enctype' attributes are not added to form HTML code if 'method' or 'enctype', respectively, are left blank.

CHANGED: Text filter's 'Use Local Code Page for Links' flags now defaults to "on" on first use (instead of "off") - only affects non-English Windows

ADDED: Iframe removes "scrolling=..." if 'scrolling' added as parameter - capitalization must match - can use capitals to override this behavior

FIXED: Increased text buffer for image file open - more images can now be opened at one time (total length of text of all selected image file names in file open dialog must be < 4096 characters. was 1024 chars)

ADDED: 'Prev Tip' button to Tip of the Day window

FIXED: when right-click on page, change "Properties" in "Edit Page Properties" to "Properties"

FIXED: Selection that includes locked objects does not select unlocked objects - when only unlocked objects are requested

FIXED: urllist combobox drop-list shrinks to zero height if 'page' type URL repeatedly selected (observed only in Win2000)

FIXED: URL 'page' drop-down list may be sorted alphabetically (instead of in page order), depending on the previous object selection and its type of link

There are some seriously good bug fixes in there. Now we should have nothing to complain about

I have downloaded both SiteSpinnner and Web Engine, and the installs went perfectly.

No problem concerning the installation.

Here is how I did:
1- Uninstall SS v2.70a by 'Add or Remove programs' in the Windows control panel
2- Delete the SS folder in 'Program Files'
3- Clean registry and all cache/temp with Ace Utilities
4- Reboot

5- Install SS v2.70b
6- Open my projects without any problem

Happy to see that VM goes on regularly updating SS and that some requests expressed on the forum have been added. (thanks Derry for the convenient 'Prev Tip' added)

Concerning the "URL 'page' drop-down list may be sorted alphabetically", I was going to open a thread in the forum for that but it's already modified/fixed !

About the Iframe fix (Iframe removes "scrolling=..." if 'scrolling' added as parameter - capitalization must match - can use capitals to override this behavior).
Do you mean Derry, I can add in Parameters for example ---> Name=SCROLLING - Value=AUTO ?
Should the Name and Value be written in capital ?
