Does anybody know why in web statistics could show:

Required but not found URLs (HTTP code 404)

URLS like: www.mydomaine.gr/robot.txt or
www.mydomaine.gr/noexist_MYGOO...IFICATIONNumber.html

Could it be human or something from S.E. ?

Thanks.Bye.

Your links aren't working, Newer - at least for me! (Perhaps it's a problem at my end?)

And what is S.E. please?

Confused ...

Sorry mccifa, my links will never work because there's not my domain in it.

anyway those are 404 pages (not found)

Search Engines.

---------------------------
Since are 404 pages even if there was my domain you would not have found them.

I just was wondering if those searches were made by humans or computers.

I hope i have been clear enough.
Thanks for your interest.
Bye

Well, I didn't even read them LOL, just clicked them as they were 'links' (though now I see the 'mydomain') ... and I can't understand why you made them 'live' links?

Plus, I sure as heck don't know what 404 messages are ... as like many other people, I can't possibly know everything, and as I suffer from 'number-blindness' 404 means nowt to me I'm afraid.

"I just was wondering if those searches were made by humans or computers." And I don't understand what you mean by this ...? Can you give some examples please? Or perhaps you should just leave this for somebody who understands what you are looking for .... cos I'm lost, LOL! (Must be my age!!)

Sorry I can't help. Good luck!

404 is the error code for "Page not Found", and I am presuming that Newer has used S.E. for Search Engine.

Search engine spiders are probably the only ones who would look for a robot.txt. If that is a concern to you, give them a "do nothing" file.

For the other page: noexist_MYGOOGLEVERIFICATIONNumber.html, if you are indeed using Google Verification, should you have a special page to perhaps keep Google happy?

Those page (or files) are error 404 (not found).

I don't have any link in other pages that would lead to them; for the robot.text it may be as you say (since could be a standard instruction given to spider), but since the the google verification key it's a variable that sound strange to me ( i keep google happy with that).

My main concern, for this matter, is to know wether is human or robot search, that's all.
Sorry for late reply but i had a problem with the internet connection.Thank you Bruceee.
Bye.
