Thankyou for your guidance and support so far. I am very grateful. I have identified odj 741 and cleaned it so it shouldn't refer to php (yet to be published). The Thankyou.html page header seems to be ok and is in the project and up on the server. I rang my server host support team and they say the php is definitively enabled for my site. If you want me to publish index 1 I need some advice as to what or where is the "Test Geometry Name Box" in the object code editor as I cannot see these terms.

The thing is, and what concerns me, is that when I test the mail send (submit button)my project on Firefox tells me the SendMail.php file cannot be found, stating "Firefox can't find the file at /C:/Documents and Settings/Cameron/Local Settings/Temp/SiteSpinner V2/Preview/SendMail.php." So the "Thankyou.html page is not found, and this does not relate to php enabling of my web server.

I had wondered if I had confused Site Spinner's search. There were several "SendMail.php" in the Imported Foreign Object (root) directory as I have cut and replaced rather than deleted and replaced files containing various scripts, the last being larryd's (i.e if there are 3 files with the same title in the root directory does Site Spinner select the latest based on date and time?). So I've gone in and deleted all previous ones leaving the one with larryd's script in the project's directory. So far the result is the same, or does a HTML editor saved file referring to php (its symbol is green denoting something different and that colour and shape is different to a file saved if called SendMail.php1)mean I can now only test mail on a server with php enabled? Just thinking.

You will not be able to test the SendMail.php script in preview since it is a server scripting language and must run on your server.

If you publish your project to your site, you will be able to fully test it.

I'm delighted to say that the e-mail works!!! The webserver emails include the one sent by postyr (just took a while to check in the right place since they were not auto forwarded to my work computer).

The 404 error continues. Postyr you suggested a link to the Thankyou.html page to check its veracity - how do I do this?

Fantastic all the same.

I am so pleased that we are finally having some success, albeit very slowly (I note from your phone number on your contact page that you are based in Queensland, that may explain it . . . lol).

As I said earlier, I was confident the final script was working, because it was trying to take us to your thank you page, so it was obviously processing the first parts of the script successfully.

Visit your own site in your browser, and place a forward slash and the full name of your thank you page, including the html extension, in the address bar to go to that page, such as http://www.proventivesolutions.com.au/Thankyou.html which does not work for me or anybody else. We keep getting the 404 error the same as your script.

Once you have found your thank you page, highlight the address in the address bar and copy it.

Paste that link directly into your next post.

Have faith, we’re nearly there.

Had saved the file as Thankyou.html but with the save adding .html the page ended up Thankyou.html.html. It now works with the page set up as "Thankyou". The address bar is therefore:

http://proventivesolutions.com.au/Thankyou.html

There is an additional "thankyou" at the back top of the page that is unnecessary that I'm not sure about. But then Queensland's always been the top state that offers that extra something making it the mecca for interstate migration: Great today..perfect tomorrow...lol.

Congratulations Byways, your script now works perfectly.

I think what you did was when you first added the thank you page in your project, you added the html extension in the page name box. As you have discovered, this is not necessary, as SS adds the html extension for you when published.

When published, that’s why you finished up with two html extensions, making the page “illegal”
