I have a new computer and I need my registration information. I emailed a copy of my original receipt but Emma told me I couldn't have my registration info because it wasn't the same name/email address. I purchased SiteSpinner in 2005. I've since married, changed ISPs and domains multiple times. How can you expect someone to not change any personal info for 4 years? Why am I being penalized for getting married and not keeping the same email? I have clients out there with Site Spinner sites! I never imagined it would be such a problem. Please let me have my registration info so I can have my beloved Site Spinner back. Please stop ignoring my emails.

Thanks.

Hi.

Try e-mailing them proof of your name change.

Good luck.

Thanks, but marriage licenses have birthdate, ssn and such. Too much private information to be sending by email - and information they shouldn't need. I'm just really bummed that I'm being treated like a software thief.

VM sends out these details in an email at the time you register. Might you have saved the old email in an archive or backup?

VM does also ask you to save the details in a safe place. Might you have saved them in a place you have forgotten about? (Has happened to me, and a while later, I remembered where the "safe place" was.)

My safe place is the old “think tank” which is becoming more unreliable as the years roll by.

Missy is probably like a lot of us. When you upgrade your system, or replace it, you tend to forget about your archived emails.

For my last two upgrades (transfers), I have remembered to do that, but now I forget what they are all about.

You have my sympathies,

I've been there a couple of times and I guess many have. Its not going to help you now, but for the future, you could do what I do which is to have a PC configuration folder somewhere where I'm going to fall across it easily (rather than safe) and I put copies of all my install .exe's for downloads, I have a .txt with all my license numbers in and if you use ftp, then a download of all the config settings for the sites I use.

I duplicate this onto a memory stick and dump it in my household paperwork box.

There is also the regular backup to removable hard drive as well.

A little paranoia goes a long way.

You could scan in your marriage license and then use an editor to blot out that information you consider private before emailing it.

Emma tells me these codes were sent to Missy on the 10th. of October. Just a reminder to everyone to print your codes off and put them in a safe place.

I never received an email with the codes, I received an email telling me I couldnt have them. Please resend them if this isn't just trying to put on a good public face and pretending to do the right thing. I check my junk mail, I know how to use email, thanks. I wouldn't have received the denial and then have the change of heart with codes not show up.

oh and why would Emma have sent them on the 10th of October if I didn't request the information until many days later? This is truly bizarre.

Well I have just done the same thing. my email messages got corrupt and nothing on paper as regards my details. Iv'e just emailed vm for mine and lucky for me I have still got my original email and a copy of my purchase. so here goes. There usually on the ball so I have every faith.

I haven't been here for a long time as not had time to play with SSPro at all but now I want to get back into the swing of it.
