Hi Patty
Amateur? I don't think so! A really nice site and fantastic products. Well done you.

The hidden doors are a really great idea and the animation on the home page explains it better than paragraphs of text. I'd love to have one of these!

The site loads quickly and its easy to understand what the site is about in a short time.
I didn't understand the logo however, and it doesn't seem to fit in with what the company does - don't know if you have any options there. I'd put the text on top of the stripes.

Personally, I would put contact details in the footer on every page - don't make people hunt for the phone number as you'll lose a few on the way.

This has been a discussion on this site before but I would build the site to suit 1024x768 screens - ie build to a browser window size of 1004x598 - thats a custom size in the project options pane.

The nav is simple and intuitive although when I went into Hidden doors site, I couldn't find my way back to Thomas' site, perhaps the secret door closed behind me! I did get lost in the site at that point.

You may want to include a crumb trail navigation (remember the story of Hansel and Gretel) that way users can know where they are and how they got there. That would sit under the main nav.

Was it intentional to have the nav bar being slightly longer than the body of the site?

From a European perspective, I found the font a bit too large, perhaps 10pt Verdana would be more subtle - but you know your market better than I.

The Visa/Mastercard logo's and NFIB logo don't appear on every page is this intentional?

The nav style between the two sites is slightly different is this intentional? It felt to me as one site, if they should be different sites, I would make them obviously different.

It wasn't immediately obvious that this site is intended for interior designers. As one of their customers, I may well find my way here and based on the fact that I'll be spending squillions of $ on these products, I would expect a different experience from the site, selling the sizzle not the sausage! Perhaps some lifestyle photo's in the way that you get in the glossy interior design magazines - thats what these people expect, don't dissapoint them.

Overall, the company is credible and I would probably make the call to find out more.

My main recommends are to simplify the nav between the two sites - or make them very separate, a good strong call to action, more subtle font and lifestyle photos.

Some of the other guys may come up with technical recommends but from a design/marketing point I hope this helps. You've got a great site there!
