Is it possible to get on of you guys to design a template for me for $10? I know it's pretty cheap but I don't have much to spend. I just want basic layout that includes a photo gallery and things that are already included on my site www.emmakensington.com

Thanks

What's wrong with the one you have already? I've looked only at your index page, and that looks good to me. About the only thing I'd change is to replace the squiggly psychedelic background with plain white. Pay yourself the $10 Smile

I know you wanted relative positioning and sizing. While it is possible to do that, the process is fraught with difficulty. As I've said before, the horizontal page centering as you have it now is much easier and looks good (at least to me!) at all screen sizes.

For a simple photo gallery, see The Built-in Popup Function.

I second that Bruce.

The site looks good centered, just how it is.

You said you wanted a photo gallery, that's easy to add we can guide you through the steps, you can even make the gallery a few pages long and video is a piece of cake to add if you want.

This is only my opinion but I think you should add the photo gallery and have your project centered, put your other content on and then publish it so people can use your site, this will give you time to build an dynamic expanding site behind the scenes, in your own time.

Some of the biggest web sites on the internet started as small little centered sites, Go to the 'Way Back Machine' to look at what YouTube looked like in 2005 when it started (click here), compared to YouTubenow.

You can do the same, start now and keep building as you go.

I don't mind the squiggly back ground, I like it.

Good luck,
Tonga.

Thanks Bruceee and Tonga. I guess I would have liked to fill the screen more with the black and the stripped boxes just like Tonga's "Aqua" box. I need to learn to be patient and play with the software more.

I'll add more stuff and come back here for more input.

Thanks much

Thanks everyone. I think my problem has been solved ( I hope). I centered horizontally, and went to project options menu and chose the 1024x768 target resolution. Please check it out and let me know how it looks www.emmakensington.com

In the meantime, I'm trying to find a flash photo gallery editor to use.

Your site looks very very good. I would be interested in seeing your site again when you are finished. Well done.

There are many flash slide show programs available. One good one that I use is called SWF Slide, and is available here I think it is about the third product down.

If you wish to see one of the results of my efforts with using this program, please click here

But be warned, it’s about 7MB
