Hi,
I was comparing the quality of HTML generated text (eg generated via the SiteSpinner text editor) to that of text generated via a drawing package and imported as a gif and there is a marked difference in quality when font sizes are large. In particular the HTML generated font is more granular - curves are more stepped, text is less sharp. I assume this is a limitation of the browser. I wondered if anyone else had encounterd this issue and whether they'd taken an approach other than handling large fonts with gifs? As a supplementary thought it makes me wonder if there would be advantage in having the option to render text as an image from SiteSpinner (png, jpg, gif etc) to preserve sharpness. -Bruce |

Hi Bruce,
Web fonts tend to be like that because there is no anti-aliasing applied to them. That is why many people use an image for a Title - check out the Title Editor (icon on the left tool-bar) - Derry |
