I am trying to create a website that will be basically a forum. I need to be able to have usernames and passwords for each member who signs up for the forum. If anyone has any way to help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I need to know how to restrict access to certain pages while allowing access to other pages. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

I'm not sure what type of solution you want, but I have used phpSecurePages.

If you are being hosted on an Apache host, you could use a .htpasswd file. Info about this can be found at:
