Now that I have just got my test site up and running and working I have noticed that when I click from page to page EVERYTHING Flickers between page changes including objects like the banner and nav buttons that are included on all pages! When I look at other web sites this does not happen. Its disturbing. Anyone know why the flicker.

A few things you can do to minimize this:

1. I see you are using PNG files for your navigation links. Any reason why you cannot use a web-safe font instead? Text loads much faster than images. If you must use title objects, try rendering them as GIF instead of PNG; the files should be much smaller.

2. If you must use these title objects for your navigation menu, then try to see if they can be "included" on several pages and turn off the "uniques includes" option. This will allow the browser to cache (save) the image and reuse it rather than trying to load it again for every page on which it is needed. Use the include or clone option for any image used more than once on your pages, such as the images used on the Furn1, FurnWave, FurnAlbuq, and FurnFisk pages.

BTW, it helps if you post a link to your site in your post.

And some browsers may flicker more than others so if you post a link to your site, please also say what browser you are using.

Thanks for the replies. I was unable to find the "uniques includes" option that larryd suggested to turn off when setting up includes.

Open the Object Editor (double click the object) and select the Components tab.

The Unique Includes check box is on the right hand side under the Page Copy Method drop-down box.
