I use SiteSpinner for myself and have started teaching my friends how to use it, too. They purchase the software and I sit with them at their homes while they learn how to create their sites.
Is it possible for me to work on their sites from my home? The problem I see is that the image paths will change if I save their "project" to a disc, work on it from home and resave, then take it back to their computer to upload and publish. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Unless you have the same HD structures and names it's not going to work automatically. From my experience the easiest solution is that you place all the images in one folder and all external media files (if needed) in another. If all the the images of your friends project are initially placed in one folder then you do exactly the same. Create an images folder and place all the images included in the project in that folder. With such a structure you'll only need to change directory once for all the included images. Hope this helps.
If you save the project with Relative Directory Paths under File > Save As, you should be able avoid the Change Directory procedure. For this to work, keep your images/media folders near to the ims project file.
I suggest at the top level have your project folder which contains the .ims project file, then inside that folder have your sub-folders for images, media or whatever. Then you need transfer only the top level folder and its contents to the other computer.
