Haven't quite finished my website, but submitted the URL to Google & Yahoo. proventivesolutions.com.au just popped up on both sites PLUS my requests for help in the VM Web General Discussion forum. Bit more exposure than I expected. Anyone know why this is happening, and how it could be changed?

I expect the Search Engines come looking here every day, so they will pick up any URLs posted out here.
The obvious answer is not to post your URL out here. Instead post it in your public profile, which Search Engines do not see. You can go back and edit your previous posts to remove the URL. |

Thanks Bruceee. Good advice. Just wasn't expecting discussion to spill outside of the forum. It occurred to me that web designers seeking forum feedback to fine tune client projects may not realise a web page might include that feedback as well as their clients finished website.
Hope to submit my website for forum review soon. Byways |
