I first apologize for bringing up a topic that has been hammered to death but I can not seem to follow past threads on this issue. We are redoing our sites and we want to maximize for 17" monitors and larger and 1024X768 plus. What is the right strategy/settings to accomplish our goals of having our sites centered on the above sites?

First of all, the actual screen size makes no difference at all. A user could have a 42” screen, but have their resolution set to 640 x 480, so they would still have to scroll to view a site developed in a higher resolution.

To design your site to a specific resolution, go to Options > Project Options then select the “General” tab. There you will see where you can set your target resolution. Make sure that you also go to Options > Workspace Options, then on the “Guide/Display tab, check the “Show Target Resolution Guide” so that you can develop your site within that resolution.

If your target resolution doesn’t fit on your own screen, select the advanced tab and reset the Workspace Size.
