Would it not be better that when you publish a project the .ims that comes with it has all the image and geometry directory pointing to the published folders?
It would make it much easier to transfare a project to another computer. |

I do not think that would work out. When you download the ims file from your site, if the media continued to point to your site, there is no way to see what that content is (SS cannot manage remotely published images as if they are local files).
Previewing a project would be a lot harder since SS would have to figure out if the files are local or remote, and if it should regenerate an image (if local) according to its publishing logic. I think it is a lot better to organize your project folder to contain everything needed by your project and keep it backed up. |
