I could not figure out how to add "tabs" across the top (or on the left side), to label each page, like "books" or "experience and credentials" so they all show all the time, and someone can click one anytime.

How do I do that?

Welcome to the forum, BRHauser. Are you talking about just having a title on the page, or do you want something that shows your visitors what page they are on?

A tab is just a special case of a button. For a start, see Rounded buttons.
