I am just about done with this site. For the second time. And this time much easier. I think I got the hang of it. Almost ready to publish and came across Profile Name in Publish Box.I still have a few pages to work on but the main ones are done. Do I have to list anything here or just leave it at default as it is now? Also is there a way for you guys to look at my site without it being published? I have a wide screen monitor and would like to know if everyone can see everything on their computer. I am working also with IE8, if this helps.

The Profile name is used in case you have several different web sites. By using different profile names, SS can maintain your different log-in requirements (host name, remote path, etc.). If you only have one site, then you can just continue to use the Default profile name.

Try using the Publisher iHostVM tab and publish a free test site. The test site will stay active for 24 hours. After you publish, they will display a URL to view your site on their system. Post that URL here and others can view it also during the 24 hour test period.

The Profile is something you set up yourself. If this is the only site you have and you've already entered the parameters necessary to access your server under the FTP tab then you don't have to change anything. A good way to check that all is working as it should is to 'Browse' the server. If you don't want to publish your site to the final destination you can do one of ttwo things:
1. Publish it to a trial site iHostVm tab in SS Publisher.
2. Create a test folder on your server and publish the site to that folder.

There is no way that anybody can see anything if it's only locally on your computer.

Site is visual at: www.ihostvm.com/trialsite261375

It is not completed yet. Still have a few pages to go. Also how do I make multiple pages within a page. Like for Book Palace I will be having a lot of authors placing their books on my site. And instead of having one VERRRRRyyy long page, I want to split it up in multiple pages. Like page 1, page 2, page 3, etc.
Please let me know what you think of my site!! Bad or good. For any changes that I may need to make.

For the Book Palace, I suggest having a list in summary form of each book. Then visitors could click on a link for more details about any particular book, pehaps as a popup.

Other options might be to have a series of links -- one for each author or genre.

Ok that's an idea. I was going to have the author's books listed like you see it then if someone wants to buy their books they can click on the "Buy Now link. It will take them straight to the publisher or where they are selling their books. But I like the popup idea. I may just change it to that. As soon as I can figure out how to do that. Hmmm something else to explore.
Thank you
