I've read the previous post on difficulties with seeing images on the actual website and went back and cleaned up the file names (lower case- no gaps) and unrendered the images, and selected jpg images for acceptance rather than for quality purposes. But am stumped, the problem remains.

It's easier to help if you post a link to your site.

There may be some clues in Broken Links -- scroll down for the images section.

If you have Code Objects on your page, be very suspicious of those -- errors there can cause the kind of problem you are having.

My website is proventivesolutions.com.au . On Mozilla all linkages and images work, but the index page shows black for images on Internet Explorer. In following FAQ on images I left the jpg images unrendered in the Geometry editor, when I uploaded would that cause a problem?

Thanks for advice, apologies for the delay in responding, still getting use to Community Forums.

I found two missing images. For both of those, you seem to have added them to your pages as Foreign Objects. For static images, the usual method is to add the image via the Mona Lisa button -- that is a lot more reliable.

The image format and whether you re-render has no bearing on the present problem. I suggest reserve jpg format for photos and use png8 format for anything else -- or png if you notice "color banding" effects which indicate not enough colors.

For your chart on page "question.html", I suggest png8 image format. This should give you a sharper image for a smaller image file size. Even better, if you can reduce the number of colors used in the palette to say 16, you can reduce the image to about 1/3 of its current size. You will need to use an image editor to do a color reduction -- I use the freebie IrfanView.

Thanks very much. All that makes sense and will reset all (static) non photo images in png via Mona Lisa after editing with IrfanView (downloaded from Download.Com)
