Sorry about this question, it has only slight relationship to SSpinner.

Since my purchase, I've done probably 50 sites, mostly for clients in my sports marketing business. I am FAR from a web expert (although have aquired much SEO info along the way) but I'm DEFINATELY no designer, but have muddled along so far with my clients limited needs (usually just a basic site but with nice graphics.

Recently one of my marketing clients needs more than (I think) I can deliver, yet does not want to go to a web design firm (turn-a round, site maintainance have been issues in the past with several web designers) Client loves my work, wants me to give a stab at a site including a members section (free, but with members info available to export into a database) and a forum .

I've been researching the various services and software for both, and it just hit me I may be overlooking the obvious, DO any of you know ifs any hosting service offer a turn-key solution for this (googling hasn't helped.)

Many of the software solutions for both of these are going to be a big pain, learning curve wise. Client is NOT cheap.

Thanks, and sorry my first post in a while has been this far a-field, (I've been lurking, but you always answer any question long before I ask it.

Hi reesethomas, I don't know of any turnkey solutions at the moment. I think that you do need to learn a bit about any software/program to know how to solve problems on your own. Setting up a forum with database is not too difficult and I'm really a novice at most computer/WWW things.

With my host I have, through my control panel, a program called Fantastico. It has a number of programs/scripts ready to install on my site with SQL databases installed along with them.

The one forum I found to be very user friendly is called SMF http://www.simplemachines.org/community/ and there is a portal that fits with it that has many buttons and bells to make it a good fit on any site. It's called TP http://www.tinyportal.net/

Check to see if their host has anything to help install programs like that.
