Hi Everyone!!
I'm new to the discussion board and in need of some serious help. I almost finished my site using sitespinner only to find out that all my link pages are only index pages. I had 10 different pages and all showed up as my home page. I had to scrap out the whole site because nothing changed the links. So before I start another time to build a site, how do you link the pages to go to the right pages? Much help would be appreciated.

I hope you haven't thrown away those project files, because they are still useful.

SiteSpinner allows you to have multiple pages in the same project, and it seems like you have started a new project for each new page. (For the future, use the "Add New Page" button.)

I suggest you join your projects together like this:
1. Open your real home page project
2. Use File > Append Project to append Page 2
3. Repeat for Page 3, 4 and so on.
4. Save the joined project.
5. Rename the pages from the index1, index2 etc that SiteSpinner will have used. Keep your real home page as "index".

Having done that, standard [page] type links will work for you.

Ok I did use Add New Page button. I can create the pages, but linking the pages where they are supposed to go is the problem. The program won't let the proper pages be listed where it is supposed to. It just keeps changing back to index. Then all I had was my index page on all pages. I will try again this weekend when I have more time to work on it again. In the meantime, I am an author and I am trying to put my book on my site along with other authors as well. And I had specific pages for that reason. I tried also in Dreamweaver CS4, but in that case I had problems with my images not showing up. Links worked, images didn't.So that's why I got this program hoping it would work. But with this one is the linking together to the proper pages. For example: I had book palace as one of my pages in which the link is supposed to be book palace. But instead just went off to index.

Just one thought. Don't use spaces in page names. A page named book page won't work. Call it bookpage or BookPage. When you set your link use Link or Quick Editor to do that unless it's a text object that carries your link. In that case use Text Editor > Insert link.

Ok. Thank you. Oh I did use the words together in the link. I will try to make this website again this weekend. Just one more question for right now. Later others will come. But when Site Spinner opens I have a blank index page. Do I start making my home page right on that starting page? Because the tutorial says to open new page. So that is what I did, and thinking I would have 2 index pages right there alone.

You start building on that starting page. In SS it's called index by default. When you add a new page it's usually called page2, page3 etc. In one project there is only one index page.
