Hi Guys
recently i chose to start using Web Engine 2 after a few years of Sitespinning! I have almost got the hang of the drop down menus, I followed the instructions step by step, i now have a drop down on this site BoardSh1tless would love to change them now, but they work and im reel worried i can't repeat this technique! Especially as one time i forgot and ungrouped them, they wouldnt work at all!
Am thrilled with WebEngine and love the technique it gave me easy access to on my Noggins Bikes site getting the bikes to drive out was a reel buzz!!!! thanks to all the makers of these fantastic programs!
But i would still love to manage those drop downs easier!

The drop-downs are tricky, but do get easier the more you do of them I still try to follow the tutorial closely though.

If you ungroup, you can lose the mouse effects on the group. I know you can now ungroup temporarily by holding down Ctrl as you ungroup. That should keep the SpecialFX when you regroup.

Also, if you know the name of a text object in a group, you can edit the text without ungrouping.

as long as i make another jpg the same size and rename it the same thing... i can just upload the new graphic and hey presto eh!

nope that won't do at all!
my advice to all those making these drop down menus is - keep a record of the OBJECT number the object is given by WebEngine! just in case at a later date you wish to change the jpg or gif used in the batch!
when i have a head on me, i will have to start this over again to change the images used... wish me luck!

mmmm well i obviously dont have my head on today !!!
this is now the best i can achieve! as you can see the drop downs arn't working as they should, any ideas where i'm going wrong?

EEUURREEKKAA!!! IT WORKS! I had to readjust the bring to front after grouping to make this work, but i began from scratch and went slowly throo the instructions ...
even managed to add a couple more buttons!
