If anyone would like a easy template for a thumbnail pop up photo gallery I have made the ims and a 3 page site.
All done in a zip file ready to use in SiteSpinner.
Comes with geometry and images.
Kept to a fairly small size for easy loading.
Preview at http://www.dbgrafix.com/templates/index.html

Mods... feel free if you like to add it in here.
I know it's not a big deal ,but It's so fun to play with SiteSpinner.
Give back time.

What you must do is: load a thumbnail image of the same one you want to pop up larger.
Then add the large image and resize it in SiteSpinner using the mouse to drag it smaller.. Just a bit bigger than the thumbnail.

Place it over the smaller thumbnail
Right click it and you will see "Edit Link".

Make this Popup Full image.

If you can do this and it works then here is the second step.
With the large image highlighted...go into "SpecialFX" and select
"Mouse Effects"...
"Trigger Object" will be the image like obj22 or whatever you have highlighted.....

"Action" is "Then Show"

"Display Object" shoud be set at the same image obj22 or whatever you have showing.

I am not great at explaining things, but could make a pic tutorial Or anyone here could add to this thread and make it easier.

Hi DB,

I was very impressed with your other slide show on the "Around Town" page at http://www.dbgrafix.com/Photo/about_around_june/index.html
Any chance to reveal to us how you did this?
Thanks Smile

Failure is not an option...... It comes bundled with the software.

You need PhotshopCS to create that type of gallery.

Thanks.

Awsome photos Marleen....
Only one thumbnail is not seen, but the large images pops up.
For 640pixel images the file sizes are very large.at that resolution you could get by nicely with around 100k. Noted most of yours are 300 to 400k
Thanks for posting. Nice to know something I did actually worked for someone else.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I have Photoshop CS - do you have a template or tutorial for http://www.dbgrafix.com/Photo/about_around_june/index.html ? I'm always looking for ways to improve on photo albums, using what I have.

Like the photo samples and Around town. Could this not be done in PSP 9? I can't afford CS. Very much a beginner bye the way.

Help I download the photo template and had a look in SS then opened my project. Now when I test I have a page from the photo template? How do you close a project and open another I cannot find a CLOSE on tools?

There's no need to explicitly close a project. It will close automatically when you:
  • Close SiteSpinner, or
  • Do main menu: File > New Project, or
  • Do main menu: File > Open..., or
  • Do other things too Smile
