After struggling with not being able to publish my website that I'm hosting on my own computer, I finally (with the help of larryd) figured out the YOU MUST RUN SITESPINNER AS AN ADMINISTRATOR with Windows Vista. Simply running the program in regular mode is not enough. To do this, right-click on the icon and select Run As Administrator, or change it in the properties section.
Hope this post saves someone the aggrivation I've experianced with Vista!

Thanks for posting that tip.

Usually SiteSpinner does not need to be run as an Administator. Could you describe a bit more what you are doing? That is, what part of hosting the web site on your computer requires SiteSpinner to be in Administator mode?

We had a webstie previously set up for our store by some one else who then dissappeared leaving us with a half-built site with no way to edit it. We do actually host our website on our own computer, and the folder where the HTML files are may be protected in some way (I didn't set it up, so I'm not sure... I had to go looking for the file). To see the whole long drama of it, check my previous post:
Error 12033: "no such file"

Ok, I see so essentially, if you need to have SiteSpinner publish to a hard drive location that is only accessible to administators, SiteSpinner should be run 'as an administator'

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining it.
