If your like me anything you can do to help save you time and make you more efficient...

One of those things can be taking advantage of a good starting point for a fresh page or page layout and site spinner / web dwarf gives you a good way to do that with there hard coded link to their templates area.

For example If you are planning on designing a page that most likely will be printed quite often like I do sometimes... why guess about where to place the objects. Instead goto your project option and set it up so the target resolution draws out the printer safe areas. Then just save that ims file to your templates file for easy access whenever you need to create a printable page.

You can also use it to setup and lock in all your favorite special effects and such as well, for example centering the page or pretty much anything else you want site spinner to remember specifically.

Another added benefit to saving these "preference templates" to the template directory is that all of your frequently used start up points will be pretty much three clicks away and you won't have to change where your open project dialog box points to.

Some ideas for this would be...

Multiple predefined target pages including custom sizes as with my printable target.
Predefining any of the page editor values that you use as a standard start up.
Referring page template.

Basically it is up to you... what do you find yourself constantly reseting before starting a new project? Well... there you go save it as a template in the templates folder and tada quick and easy 3 clicks and your there.

Also to keep your templates at the front of the list start off their name with a "-" so you don't have to scroll for them.

Hope this finds a usefulness to some of you.

Unfortunately Life is not math...it's English. There is always an exception to the rule.
