i would like border (outline) options for left right, bottom, top, or all, instead of just all.

Hi pege,

That might be a tough one to implement. Keep in mind that you can use the 'Polygon' tool (left toolbar) to create lines (once you have created a line, go to the Quick Editor and de-select 'anti-alias'.

yeah, i guess that would work well enough. but can you make dashed, dotted, grooved, or ridged borders with the polygon tool?

i think this is an area you could really beef up the user power, by enabling a person to select a checkbox for each or all sides of the outline, and then set the individual style, color, and width for each side. it's just a matter of having it insert the right css code (e.g. border-top:solid;border-bottom:dashed;border-bottom-color:blue;border-top-color:red;border-bottom-width:0.9em;, etc.). i don't know why it would be any harder than the other stuff you guys make. i think you can do it.

http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_border.asp

also, i would love to have just one more tab on the object editor, to be able to edit the CSS, class, and styles for every object and element, pluss a way to specify and edit an external style.css file.

thanks

Hi pege,

Yes, I think our wize-bang development team might be up to it. However, it sounds like that might be better implemented in GraphicSpinner, or SpinaVector, or SiteVector... Wink

Editing of CSS
Yes, that is definitely on the list for a future release of SiteSpinner.

yeah, that's all i'm talking about, is something that edits the CSS stlye attributes. for example, you already have the tab that lets you select a complete border, along with it's color and width. what i'm proposing is you just increase that a bit, so you can select these attributes for each or all sides of the border. since border is a regular html attribute, it wouldn't require any special graphics or vector programming, just something to insert the right css code in the element. but then again, if you offer a robust CSS editor for each element, you could include an option for everything, maybe like TopStyle does. well, thanks then.

I know that this thread was posted a long time ago, but I would like to at least second the idea of being able to toggle borders on or off. I looked at the link that was posted by pege, and even with my very limit html abilities, and pretty much zero css ability, I found that it is something that could possibly be done (I do not want to say the word easily).

Here is how I change it so that a text box only had a left and right border. I have highlighted the parts that I added manually.

<div id="Oobj4" style="position:absolute;z-index:1;visibility:visible; left:90px;top:146px;width:237px;height:24px;border-width:5px;border-style:solid; border-bottom-width: 0px;
border-top-width: 0px;
border-color:#000000;">

I am sure that the people who do the coding of Site Spinner would be able to implement this, and I really hope that it makes it in there.

Thanks for reading.
