Can the link preferences i.e colour, Unvisited, Visited, Active Underlined be set for the whole project rather than individual pages as I find it a bit tedious to have set the preferences for each page. Especially when it is considered that any such preferences would more than likely be wanted for the whole site.

Now, having said that, if it is considered that it is better to leave it as it is then can these preferences be moved to the Object Editor/Link instead as it would be quicker to set the preferences there as the link is being created. Smile

Hi AndyP,

Having Project-wide settings would definitely be a good feature to have. Don't think it will make it into this release, but rest assured it is on 'the list'. The way I ensure that the link attributes are consistent across the site is to create a Template ims file that has all the settings I want - background colour, link colours, meta tags, etc. Then, when it is time to create a new area of the site I simply open the template file, save it with a new name, copy and append as many pages as I need. Of course this does not help if you want to go back and change all the attributes after the fact.

As for putting the link attributes with the Object Editor, I am not sure why you would do this. Appling link colours ect.. only affects Text, in which case why not change the link colours in the Text Editor when you create the link?

Yes... very true... but to be honest I have had so much trouble with making links in the "Text Editor" that I prefer to add the links via the Object Editor.

I have meant to go into detail on this but I havent had much time recently

Hi AndyP,

If you have encountered any bugs in the Link Editor we would like to hear about them.

Not sure how you have managed to use the Object Editor for all your links, as it applies to the whole object including all text within the object. Whereas using the Link Editor in the Text Editor allows you to link individual words.

Yes, correct using the Object Editor would only link the whole object and not indivdual words. However, I have not had the need to link individual words (apart from a small groups for button links.

I thought I made a posting on the Text Editor to do with problems with it... unless it was in the previous forum? And I am sure that you gave me a temp solution on one aspect (?)

Anyway, I will go back to it this week and go through it again.
