I recently showed Harpo an example of what I wanted to do with the Title Editor. Offset Vertical text wherein each letter is down one space and horizontally offset from the upper letter by a specified amount. I.e. A slanted title wherein each letter is set vertical.

If that is what you want I am with you. The horizontal offset could be set to zero to give you what you want. But I want it for the Title Editor more than the Text Editor.

Cheers,
Muzz

HTML does not support vertical text. What we may be able to do is automatically convert a text object to a title object (graphic) if the text object is rotated.

I want to be able to create the word "KNOX" as shown without having to do it individual letter by individual letter.

If I create the word KNOX vertically and then rotate, the individual letters are no longer vertical. Which boat did I miss?

Why not generalize?

Rotate Axis: yes or no
Rotate Letters: yes or no
Vertical Separation of Letters: y pixels
Horizontal Separation of Letters: x pixels

My suggestion is likely an intrusion on your space, and thus unwelcome. For that I apologize. But I fail to see why put in the effort to develop a special case to satisfy one user when a greater effort in the same direction would please all users and greatly enhance Web Engine. That's all.

Hi Muzzy,

First off, please keep in mind that just because I said that we 'may be able to do...' does not necessarily mean that we will do it 'now'. Converting html text to an image is something the program can do right now, it just has not been set up as a feature. Having said that, our priority is to get Spinner out the door with the current feature set. Your requests for additional features to the Title Editor are valid, and have been added to our requested feature list.
