I see many times on the Forum members being asked if they have the latest version of this or that program.
Could we have an option (maybe under Help) to click on and check if any updates are available, I am on SSPro 2.91 is this the latest? Thanks Tony |

Did you try main menu Help > Check for Updates? The latest version is 2.91.

No, don't do that -- this is the record for the fastest actioning of a feature request ever

I would actually like SS to check its current version against a VM database and tell me my version is up-to-date or out-of-date instead of having me search through a web page and comparing a listed version against what I see in the Help->About. After all, this is why we have computers, right? To simplify things and perform trivial tasks?

Yeah, that's what I was really asking for, I just worded it differently.
Seriously Larry, that would be a good feature. |

Hi Folks,
Yes, that is on our radar. In the past we had to weigh the advantages of the software doing checks automatically, something that could be misconstrued as the software doing something malicious. However, we should be able to give the user the option for the software to check automatically in with a future release. In the meantime we'll continue to send out update notifications to registered users. - Derry |
