Hi Derry,
This I ask in trepidation, but only in that I forgot to ask earlier and I have an immediate need to know -- and don't want to be a pest. I believe that it was agreed that in general principle embedded or imaged fonts across the board (Text and Title Editors) was a desirable thing and would be placed in your job jars.

My question is, if it is to become a reality, when is that likely to be? A few months or a year?

The initial phase of my web-site project has been surprisingly well received and I have been contracted to work on the second phase. In this phase, font work is going to be extremely important so I am debating on hand-coding and going via Microsoft's Weft package. I would rather, however, stick with Web Engine and SVG.

I recognize that if it is to be, it isn't going to be tomorrow. But any indication as to possible timing would be significant to me.

Again, no "pain in the butt" intentions here.

Thanks,
Muzz

Hello Robert,

I can't give you a definitive answer for this I am afraid. We are currently putting our effort into getting Spinner out the door with the currant feature set. Once it is released we will turn our attention to Engine and decide at that time what the priorities are with respect to what further features are to be incorporated into the V2 release. I understand that this feature is important to you. However, we have to be aware that there are only so many features that we can get into each release.

Hi Derry,

Two things have happened since my first post on this. I watched someone work with PhotoShop7; and I saw my own site on someone else's computer. As regards the latter, I shuddered. It was a different site altogether from the one I see every day. Font work is far too important not to be a high priority item.

I won't say anything more on the subject; but that is a very strong thought indeed.

Lordy I hate being a pest.
