You can speed things up by creating a Google Webmaster Account and submitting your site. The first thing you need to do is get a verify code. You get this when you add a site to the tool. Paste the code into your index page of your project using the Page Editor->Title,Meta Tags tab in the Custom Meta Tag section; the "verify-v1" meta-name goes in the Name box and the actual google supplied verify code goes in the List box. Publish your page with the verify code and go back to the google webmaster site and click the verify link. Google will check your site, see the code, and will schedule a bot to visit you, usually within a few days to a week for the initial visit. Be patient.
