I am using my cable provider for my web pages and when I try to send my pages to the Ip address your form request an alternative to host name. My cable company changes that number every 24 hours so they said it would be of no use to me . Is there any way to bypass the request and just use the hostname?
I love the software but can not use unless this is possible. Mary Lee |

Hi Mary-Lee,
Perhaps our wording is a little unclear but you can certainly use your hostname. The ip address is just an alternative. Harpo |

I had the same problem and it seems that an active firewall defintely slow the ftp action. I've learned to disable the FW when I upload and then turn it back on.

Derry, Harpo... The firewall is a known issue in interupting, or even completely blocking the use of the inbuilt ftp.. Perhaps a note for this problem should be put in the Spinner help section for new users.
