On the table editor, there is a graphic representation of the table. By clicking on a cell, the object in the cell is selected and displayed in another graphic area.

If I double-click the cell, the object pops up in its appropriate object editor; i.e., text objects in text editor, titles in title editor, etc.

The problem comes when the table is large and the cells in graphic representation of the table editor become small. It is very hard to double-click a cell. Possible fixes are:

a. Allow the arrows keys to navigate the graphic table and a Ctrl-Enter (or Alt-Enter) act as a double-click. Home key could go to cell (1,1) and End key would go to last cell.

b. Allow a double-click to work in the graphic object display. Currently it seems it is display only.

While on the subject of Tables ...

The Table Editors in a number of Editors are much more ______ (?), (you think of a word) than in SiteSpinner.

I've used Hot Dog and Homesite for many years and both allow table creation, direct entry, row-column manipulaton, etc. That's not even considering the flexibility of Excel or Word. Actually,

With most other Table Editors you can remove, for example, the TOP ROW, without having to move all the cell enties and then remove the BOTTOM ROW.

While I haven't written Assembly or C-Plus in many years, and have never more than tinkered with Java, I do think that an HTML or Java Table Editor could be created that would allow direct manipulation and then conversion into SiteSpinner proprietary code.

Sausage Software's Hot Dog is famous for it's numerous small utilities which will do everything from making fancy text to tables. Perhaps that's an option.

I love Hot Dog and Homesite, but both hate WinXP so even though I have current copies, I can't use them.

I've never used DreamWeaver or Front Page so I can't comment on their Table Editors.

I'd love to see the SiteSpinner Table editor reworked to allow more convenient creation and manipulation.
