I found this old post (2003) and a few similar ones while was browsing through the forum trying to find out whether it's possible to copy a page from one project and paste it into another project. At the time most of the comments were that this functionality was "high on the list" or that it would be implemented after Web Engine was released.
I experimented with copy page/paste page and unless I'm doing something wrong it still doesn't work between projects.
I'm aware of the Append function but that seems to deal with an entire project - not a single page. Obviously it's really cumbersome to have to append an entire project and delete all the pages you don't want just to get the one you do want.
The functionality I need is to be able to store in one project several forms that are intended to potentially be customized customers. As needs arose I could then createa modified version of a form and copy or append it to a different project. I want to do it this way for ease of management, as opposed to trying to store, modify and maintain a them in a single project.
Does this functionality exist now or is it still on the five year old wish list? I'm on SS V2.70 at present.
The latest version of SS is V2.70f. It's worth upgrading, but it won't solve your present problem.
The best solution for now is to delete all pages you don't want from a copy of the template project. Do this easily from the Page Editor > Page >Select > Arrange button -- that allows multiple page deletions.
Then append this project (now one or a few pages) to the other project.

I guess that the good news is that I don't have feel stupid for not knowing about an easier way to do it. and the bad news is that there apparently isn't an easier way.
Do you know of any plans to address this issue anytime soon? Also, can you either tell me or point me to an article that would bring me up to date about what's new and improved in the latest version of SS?
