Hi Derry,

When I create a new object, it usually, but not always, comes attached with the previously created object's shading identity. And sometimes that is a good thing, and sometimes not.

Could an "option question" be built in as to whether or not you want a "blank" object or to use "shading number x" (in an ideal world with the object highlighted in some fashion)?

This is strictly an efficiency issue.

Thanks,

Muzz

The shading that is used for a new object is the shading in the object that currently selected. So ... think of your page as a palette of shading options. Click on the one you want then the next objects you create will use it. Click on the background (or an object without shading) if you don't want shading.
