Here's an idea. What if it was possible to type text or code directly into a table cell instead of having to make a text object, adjust the size, and move it into the cell? It would save so much time if you're dealing with large tables. You could just click the cell (maybe while a certain option is toggled), type something, press enter to deselect that cell and leave your text, and then press one of the arrow keys to move to a different cell.

Anyone else think this should be added?

It would be a useful feature if VM could implement it easily. I imagine that behind the scenes, there would still need to be a text object in each cell -- it just wouldn't be visible at the time you were entering the text.

As Bruceee's pointed out, it is not a trivial matter to implement. However, it is on the list, though I can't say exactly when it will be developed.
